You’ll learn proper form in a small group setting while getting in a challenging workout in an hour-long session led by our talented trainers. Want to take it to the next level? Check out our Barbell Basics 6-Week Program.

Class Schedule

  • I always look forward to the Barbell Basics classes! As a beginner in all things weights and someone who finds weight racks intimidating, this class is a great way to get guidance from really knowledgeable trainers. The workouts are tough, but you see results in weeks! The classes are small and personalized, and they teach you proper form so you don’t hurt yourself. 10/10 would recommend!

  • The trainer was amazing. She knew just the right amount to push me without scaring me off. She also really has a solid ergonomic understanding to help direct you to avoid injuring yourself. As a newbie I’m actually excited about exercising! Highly recommended!

  • Great workout. This is the workout I’ve been looking for – weights in the beginning then cardio (strength and conditioning). I want to lift heavier weights at the beginning of the routine and then cardio at the end. The trainer was a good balance of attentiveness and motivation, especially in maintaining proper form and pushing you beyond your threshold without compromising your health. The group size was small and. manageable. And while the gym is new and has a modern aesthetic, it does well to stay true to the basics. I think I found my gym.

  • This class was awesome. Quinn was extremely knowledgeable and welcoming. I felt very comfortable as a total barbell beginner even though the workout was challenging. The Yard was also a goregeous space.
